There he was, an older man looking at the car in her drive way and saying it was his. The lady that lived there knew it wasn't his because she knew the owner of the car. The older man was about 80 and very nice but very confused. She ask his name and he told her, it was not his real name, again he was confused. She ask him where he lived and he answered, pointing down the street. Again she knew he was confused because she had lived on that street for many years and she had never seen him before. He told her he had just gotten out of the military, again very confused because he was to old to have that be true. She ask him if she could help me and he said he was fine and started walking off. She and her son was very worried about him so they got into their car and went to find him. They called the police for they knew he was very lost and very confused. They found him, told him that they had called a friend to help him (which was the police) and about that time the police car pulled up. The older gentleman told the police that this young lady and her son was very nice and caring people to help him. He told the police that he seemed to be very confused about things.
I am sure more words and feelings took place that day but I was privileged to only hear a few of them. As I watched this take place I thought of my upcoming years of aging. I may not ever get lost or confused....but then again I could. The illness of aging is something that will come in many forms. I pray that if I am found somewhere, lost and confused, someplace that I am not sure of, that I will also find very nice people like this lady and her son.
Corinna and Austin I am very proud of you. Heavenly Father and your Savior saw what you did to help one of their children here on earth. I pray that I never get lost, but if I do... I pray that nice people like you are around to help me. I love you very much.
PS: I have a friend that this happened to her father and he was lost for days. Lets keep watch over ours and others loved ones. We all need each others help at times.
Oh wow, what a great story. I had no idea that happened to them. Good job you guys, what an example! And don't worry mom, we will always find you.:) XO
